body and soul (piano)

recently, i've been having a lot of fun
just playing the A section from body and
soul over and over again on the piano,
trying to coordinate my hands, find chords
faster, elaborate on the melody, and just
improvise in a self-sufficient way in
general. today i recorded my efforts, and
i thought this particular section was kind
of fun, so i've decided to post it. i edited
in a couple of loops to make the track segue
in and segue out more naturally, but otherwise
it's just me and the piano...

piano triads

this quarter i've been playing piano pretty
regularly at the music school. i haven't posted
any piano stuff yet, so i thought i'd post
a short clip. this is me playing around with
triads, except for the ending chord, which
i'm sure was a mistake at the time but i ended
up liking the way it sounded quite a bit.

takes a nice solo, and the sample used below is my
favorite moment of his solo...

sorts over google video chat... granger
did some editing post. this is listenable
(but also a work in progress); i decided
to post it, as it has been a while...

a warning: it kind of jumps up in volume
at 30 seconds or so...
