thanks to todd, i decided to make another track
instead of going to bed too early. it ended up
an ambient track, but as todd pointed out, such
a track can always evolve at a later date.

there is no greater love

this is a standard that i remembered i knew
about a week ago. i've been playing around with
trying to play the tune solo-guitar style... tonight
i recorded some stuff and i thought this was maybe
interesting. probably after a while i'll start cycling
and you'll hear another go at this tune maybe in a
few weeks and hopefully there will be some kind of
improvement. ideally...

in what will probably become a custom, i've provided
more download links than just the track i'm putting

portland la quinta!

well i have been trying to upload a file i've made,
but i guess the wireless is weaker in la quinta than
they might advertise... but i figured i'd post anyway,
just because i'm noticing my computer struggling
when i try to pull up my own blog because of all of
those embedded audio things... so a post without
a sound clip isn't the end of the world, and i'll only
show 3 posts per page or something so everyone's (read
my) computer doesn't freak out upon visiting.

anyway, i'll post the file once i get good internet again...
it's an electronic track using (almost) all my own samples
and i went through about three versions i.e. this is the
first electronic effort i've made in a while that resulted
in better than saying fuck it and ending up with some
ambient wav file i don't know what to do with.

two improvsations

i recorded these this morning; they're pretty random
but i thought it would be good to get some posting going
on this blog. the first one i sort of end up playing over
the changes to 'recorda me'



the second one i am thinking a lot about the changes to
'jeep on 35' off of a go go by john scofield.

hey everyone --
i decided it might be worthwhile to have a place

the sound made as a faucet fills up a brita-filter
type thing through a hose.
